MoU enables more Vietnamese to work in Japan’s Kanagawa prefecture

(VOVWORLD) - The Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and leaders of Japan’s Kanagawa Prefecture on Tuesday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on human resource development.

According to the MoU, the first phase will focus on cooperation in health care and nursing. Afterwards, the two sides will discuss expanding to other sectors. At the signing ceremony, Deputy Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Le Van Thanh said: “Currently, more than 16,000 Vietnamese are living and working in Kanagawa prefecture. The MoU will promote the two nations’ cooperative ties in labor and human resource development through a mutual cooperation framework for exchanging engineers, technicians, workers, and students.” 

The MoU will be valid for three years and can be extended if the two sides agree.
