(VOVworld)-Speaker of the Assembly of the Union of Myanmar Thura U Shwe Mann is in Vietnam on an official visit at the invitation of National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung.

After the welcome ceremony on Saturday, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung and Myanmar parliament speaker Thura U Shwe Mann held talks during which they agreed to concretize the signed agreements and to enhance ties between the two nations’ legislative bodies. They also agreed to continue to cooperate and support each other at regional and global forums.

National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung expressed his belief that cooperation between two countries will reach a new height, contributing greatly to regional peace and security. On this occasion, he invited Myanmar parliament speaker Thura U Shwe Mann and Myanmar speaker of the upper house of parliament Khin Ong Min to addend the 132nd General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) which will be held in Vietnam next March.
