(VOVWORLD) - The National Assembly on Friday approved the Resolution on the State Budget Estimates for 2019.
Vietnam's state budget revenue is projected to increase by 7% on an annual basis to 61 billion USD in 2019. Meanwhile, Vietnam is expected to spend 70 billion USD, up 7.2% on an annual basis, resulting in a budget deficit of 9 billion USD, or 3.6% of GDP.
In the morning, deputies heard a report on the draft Law on Preventing and Combating the Harmful Effects of Alcohol and Beer. Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Kim Tien said the bill contains regulations to reduce alcohol and beer consumption, regulate supply sources, and impose restrictions on agencies, organizations, and individuals.
In its verification report, the National Assembly’s Committee for Social Affairs proposed a ban on forcing others to consume alcoholic, allowing people under 18 years old to consume wine or beer, or using children under 18 for wine or beer production or trading activities.
