(VOVworld)- On Thursday, National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan received the outgoing Japanese ambassador to Vietnam Hiroshi Fukada.

National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan received the outgoing Japanese ambassador to Vietnam Hiroshi Fukada.

In her address, Ngan praised the Ambassador’s contribution to upgrading the Vietnam-Japan relationship into an Extensive Strategic Partnership and strengthening mutual political trust between the two countries. Ngan thanked the diplomat for his efforts to mobilize the Japanese government to grant Vietnam ODA of 2.5 billion USD last year. She praised the Japanese Ambassador’s contributions to enhancing bilateral legislative ties. Hiroshi Fukada said boosting bilateral ties between Vietnam and Japan was important in promoting peace and security in the region and boosting economic cooperation. Japanese Emperor and Empress will visit Vietnam for the first time next year. Ms Ngan promised to do her utmost to contribute to the success of the visit.
