(VOVWORLD) - Chairman of the Vietnamese National Assembly Tran Thanh Man received Governor of Japan’s Nara prefecture Yamashita Makoto in Tokyo on Wednesday during his official visit to Japan.

Congratulating the cooperation plans between Nara and Vietnamese localities, Man emphasized that they will create opportunities for the two localities to exchange and learn from each other’s experiences in socio-economic development, tourism, labor, and human resource development.
Governor Yamashita Makoto expressed his hope that the Vietnamese National Assembly and Government will support the implementation of cooperation programs between the two localities in the future.
Also on Wednesday, Chairman Man met with officials and staff of the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan. He said, “The Ambassador and the Vietnamese staff should enhance unity and responsibility and improve profession to meet the requirement of the new international integration period. Thoroughly comhrehend the external policy of the Party and State, contribute to strengthening bilateral friendly relationship, and collaborate in parliamentary diplomacy between Vietnam and Japan.”
Mr. Man asked the Vietnamese Embassy staff to pay close attention to the Vietnamese community in Japan to help them in residency, business, and study.
