The session took place immediately after the 7th session of the 15th National Assembly, which approved a Resolution on investment in the North-South expressway west of the Gia Nghia (Dak Nong)-Chon Thanh (Binh Phuoc) section.

This key highway connects the Central Highlands with the southeastern region, and connects Binh Phuoc and Dak Nong province with Ho Chi Minh City. Mr. Man asked Binh Phuoc province to build on their previous achievements to become a major economic growth center in the southeastern region.

Mr. Man said: “It is essential to promote the province's potentials and advantages for rapid development associated with green and sustainable growth, improve labor productivity and the province’s competitiveness in socio-economic development. In particular, the province needs to focus on industrial development. It is necessary to develop agriculture sustainably and effectively, and develop high-tech agriculture, clean agriculture, and organic agriculture.”

Chairman Man proposed that Binh Phuoc province combine economic, cultural, and social development with ensuring national defense, protecting sovereignty and border security, and promoting a peaceful border, friendship, cooperation, and shared development with Cambodia.
