NA Chairman calls for joint efforts to take care of national devotees

(VOVWORLD) - National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man on Monday presented gifts to 20 heroic mothers, policy families, and revolution contributors in Hau Giang province on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27).

Donations also included 100 charity houses by the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group.

Chairman Man said supporting the families of war veterans, martyrs, and revolution contributors embodies the Vietnamese tradition of "remembering the source of the water we drink."

Mr. Man said Hau Giang province should continue to ensure that families of revolution contributors benefit from Party and State preferential policies.

It is important to  increase pensions, social insurance, and benefits for those with meritorious service to the revolution, beginning July 1, 2024, in line with the National Assembly's resolution, he noted.
