NA Chairman meets group of British businesses investing in Vietnam

(VOVWORLD) - National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue on Thursday received Kenneth Atkinson, Chairman of BritCham and representatives of a number of British corporations and investment funds doing business in Vietnam.

Chairman Hue said the Vietnamese National Assembly and ministries want to learn from Britain’s experience in promoting the role of the public and private economic sectors and private and national governance in order to realize Vietnam’s commitments, including those at COP26.

Chairman Hue proposed Vietnamese legislative agencies working with BritCham to tackle obstacles and improve business governance and state governance capacity in a win-win spirit.

The BritCham President said British businesses have generated thousands of jobs in Vietnam and millions of USD worth of exports, and contributed substantially to educational finance. He said that both sides can work together to tackle global challenges such as climate change, inequality, and renewable energy development.
