(VOVWORLD) - In the 30 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1992, Vietnam-Republic of Korea ties have seen remarkable progress, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue told Korean media during his official visit to the Republic of Korea (ROK) which will end Wednesday.

The Vietnam-ROK Strategic Cooperative Partnership has become more effective and substantive and political trust between the two has strengthened.
Economic cooperation has always been a highlight and pillar of their cooperation, Mr. Hue said. South Korea is currently Vietnam’s largest FDI investor, second- largest trade partner, and second-largest ODA donor.
Culture, tourism and people-to-people exchange are lively areas of cooperation, Chairman Hue said, adding that Vienam always attaches importance to developing relations with Korea.
He said he believes his visit will open a new development period for bilateral cooperation.
