Ms. Ngan praised the World Bank’s Vietnam 2035 Report, which provided long-term directions for Vietnam to become an industrial nation and reform its market economy institution to match its practical conditions. She said that the Vietnam National Assembly had just issued a resolution on socio-economic development until 2020, which prioritized restructuring the economy, renovating the growth model, increasing productivity and competitiveness, improving social security, adapting to climate change, and improving the management of natural resources and the environment. Vietnam expects to achieve an average annual growth rate of 6.5-7%.
