(VOVworld) – National Assembly deputies continued their plenary session in Hanoi on Tuesday discussing the draft Law on State Audits. Deputies acknowledged the improvements of the draft Law and asked for more regulation to increase the state audit's accuracy, transparency, and legal value. Phung Duc Tien, a Deputy from Ha Nam province, said: "The supplementation of the principle of “Promptly and Timely” in auditing procedures goes along with proposals to shorten auditing time in Article 34 of the Law. This will contribute to minimizing losses for the national financial sector and preventing corruption in the use and management of public financial assets."

Earlier, deputies heard reports on the Bill on Charges and Fees. They agreed on the necessity to promulgate the Law on Charges and Fees to address shortcomings in the current Ordinance, satisfy administrative reform requirements, and match with tax reform strategy.

Later on Tuesday, lawmakers discussed in groups the remaining differences regarding the revised Penal Code. They agreed on the importance of supplements and amendments to the Penal Code, focusing on addressing issues that may hinder crime-fighting activities.
