NA mid-year session closes: 7 laws, 10 resolutions approved

(VOVWORLD) -The National Assembly’s mid-year session has approved 7 laws and 10 resolutions.

Addressing the 7th session’s closing ceremony in Hanoi on Friday, National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan underscored the importance of draft law deliberation, saying:“Draft laws debated at this session are significant in fine-tuning the legal system on rights and obligations of the citizens, the socialist-oriented market economy, and organizational apparatus, ensuring defense and security, and serving Vietnam’s development and international integration. I call on relevant agencies to collect opinions of National Assembly deputies and continue receiving feedbacks from stakeholders and experts to ensure the quality of the next National Assembly sessions.”

The Assembly reformed its meeting operation by applying IT, flexibly adjusting agenda, and ensuring principles, democracy, responsibility, and constructiveness. Chairwoman Ngan said: “The National Assembly acknowledged the active, wise, and passionate involvement of deputies. After the session, I urge deputies to continue meeting with voters to listen to their aspirations, examine daily developments to give timely feedback to the Assembly, government, and relevant agencies, and being more proactive in law making and oversight. Through every session we confirm that the Assembly’s activities are closely connected to the people and life. The Assembly is grateful to the trust, interests, and sharing of the people and voters and wants to receive strict oversights and frank and constructive opinions to make the National Assembly in particular and the State apparatus in general truly effective.”
