NA scrutinizes supervision of handling voters’ petitions

(VOVWORLD) - Lawmakers on Monday discussed the supervision of the settlement of voters’ petitions sent to the previous National Assembly session.

A report presented by Chairman of the NA Ombudsman Commission Duong Thanh Binh presented said that 2,700 petitions on labor, social welfare, health, transportation, education, natural resources, and the environment were collected and sent to competent agencies for settlement. 99% have now been handled.

Deputies will spend Tuesday discussing reports from the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court and the Prosecutor General of the Supreme People's Procuracy, reports on crime prevention and control, law enforcement work, and anti-corruption activities in 2023.

They will also discuss supervision of the settlement of voters' petitions and citizens’ complaints and denunciations in 2023.
