(VOVworld)-The sixth session of the National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee opened in Hanoi today. The meeting that lasts till March 27th will focus on several important issues and question Cabinet members. On its first day of working, the Standing Committee discussed amendments to the 1992 Constitution. National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung said that government agencies, social and political organizations have seriously reviewed the implementation of the 1992 Constitution. "By reviewing the implementation of the 1992 Constitution, we can see outcomes of the 1992 Constitution and requirements of the new context following the implementation of the Platform on national development in the next transitional period and relevant documents of the 11th Party Congress. The deputies will discuss these issues and submit their conclusions to relevant Party and State agencies", said Mr. Hung.

High on the agenda will also be preparation for the 3rd meeting of the 13th National Assembly and the ratification of 7 draft laws and amendments on Labor, Trade Union, Tertiary Education, Anti-Money Laundering, Prevention of Harmful effects of Tobacco and Tax Management.
