(VOVworld)- The National Assembly’s Standing Committee concluded its 11th session today/Wednesday. In his address, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung highlighted the significance of discussions at this session. Earlier, the delegates discussed the government’s report on the outcomes of the Law on practicing thrift and avoiding wastefulness. They agreed that the public are now better aware of the issue and the state budget is being better managed and put to good use. However, as a result of cuts on public spending, many projects have been delayed or canceled causing an increase in public debts and a huge amount of waste in public projects. According to the report, the management of budget contributions remains limited and incidents of tax evasion and tax debt keep rising. Ksor Phuoc, Head of the National Assembly’s Commission for Ethnicity says: "We need to strengthen administrative reforms as this is important in preventing waste. It’s also important to solve pending issues on land clearances and raise the public’s awareness about practicing thrift".

The delegates proposed that the government reports back on compensation for waste, the use of working time in state agencies, and the management of the state budget, and assets in state corporations.

The same day, the deputies discussed the principle contents of the forthcoming session of National Assembly. The discussions on the resolution on vote of confidence on officials who are approved or elected by the National Assembly and People’s Councils, the revised Anti Corruption Law and the Law on Personal Income Tax will now be broadcast live on TV and Radio. The 4th session of the 13th National Assembly will be held from October 22 to November 23.
