Mr. Truong Thanh Son, a former officer at the Military Command of Lang Son province said: “Former President and General Le Duc Anh devoted his life to the revolution. He had a firm political ideology and fulfilled every task assigned by the Party and State”.

Mr. Le Duc Anh made a great contribution to the Vietnamese revolution during the time he served in the army. Major Duong Thanh Phong from Military Zone 9 said: “Mr. Le Duc Anh was an outstanding leader and a talented general. He made a great contribution, not only to the struggle for national liberation, but also to national development. His death is a great loss to the Party, the State, the army, and the people of Vietnam”.

Veteran Nguyen Ben of Tien Giang province, served in the army under the leadership of General Anh: “General Le Duc Anh was a great model of the staunch fighting spirit. On the Cambodian battlefield, he contributed greatly to the liberation of Cambodia from genocide”.

Mr. Pham Huu Le, a retired cadre from Hai Phong city, said: “General Le Duc Anh was an excellent student of President Ho Chi Minh. He always did his best in every position he took”.
