(VOVworld) – National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung received President of the International Trade Committee of the European Parliament Bernd Lange in Hanoi on Tuesday. Mr. Hung said he hoped the European Parliament will continue to support the early signing of the Vietnam-EU FTA, which is expected to promote bilateral trade and economic ties. Mr. Bernd Lange praised the signing of a number of cooperative agreements between Vietnam and the EU toward the ratification of the FTA. He said he believed Vietnam will meet all standards toi quickly sign the FTA with the EU. He added that both sides should diversify cooperative mechanisms to fully implement the items in the FTA. The Internaitonal Trade Committee will monitor the implementation of the agreements, including the FTA and will support this FTA to deepen the Vietnam-EU partnership.

Mr. Hung said Vietnam is fine-tuning its legal system, improving the management capacity of the government, and accelerating capacity building for businesses for the effective implementation of the FTA.
