National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung
(VOVworld)- National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung received in Hanoi on Wednesday a delegation of US Congressmen led by Matt Salmon, Chairman of the Subcommittee on Asia and the Pacific. Chairman Hung praised bilateral cooperation after 20 years of normalizing ties. He appreciated efforts by the US government and Congress to overcome the war’s aftermaths, especially the consequences of Agent Orange/dioxin.
Hung expressed his hope that the two legislative bodies would boost bilateral cooperation in legislation and supervision and increase mutual support at international parliamentary forums.
Mr. Salmon said the US Congress supports the TPP agreement between the two countries.
