(VOVworld) – On Tuesday afternoon, National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan began an official friendship visit to Cambodia at the invitation of her Cambodian counterpart Samdech Heng Samrin.

Ms. Ngan was met at the airport by Men Sam An, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Assembly-Senate Relations and Inspection, other senior officials, members of the Cambodia-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentarians’ Group, Thach Du, Vietnamese Ambassador to Cambodia, and representatives of the local Vietnamese community.

Ms. Ngan’s visit is aimed at consolidating and strengthening the friendly neighborliness and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Cambodia. This is part of realizing commitments to exchanging legislators’ delegations and other cooperative programs under the signed agreements between the two countries’ National Assemblies.
