In her remarks at the event, Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan lauded the efforts of the army, especially military medical workers, border guards, officers and soldiers working in quarantine facilities, and members of the steering board for COVID-19 prevention and control of the Ministry of National Defense.
Chairwoman Ngan said, “We need to continue in the spirit of "fighting the epidemic as if fighting an enemy". We should not be negligent in containing the spread of the pandemic along the borders or preparing facilities and equipment for isolation. Meanwhile, lessons learned can be applied not only to effectively coping with the COVID-19 pandemic, but also to other non-traditional security challenges.”
