(VOVworld) – Chairman of the National Assembly’s Committee for Finance and State Budget Phung Quoc Hien led a delegation to visit Cuba from July 31 to August 4. During the visit, which aimed to strengthen ties with Cuba’s National Assembly’s committees, Chairman Hien held meetings with Cuban senior leaders, including Grisel Castro Alfonso, Chairwoman of the Cuban National Assembly’s Committee of Economic Affairs. Cuban leaders appreciated the visit by Vietnamese delegation contributing to enhance bilateral ties. Hien said Vietnam’s National Assembly is in a renewal process aimed at raising people’s authority in society. The two sides shared experience in monitoring public finance, budget management and advising the National Assembly on finance-budget legislation. The Vietnamese delegation was also received by the Cuban Vice President of the Council of State, Gladys Bejerano.
