National Assembly listens to workers’ opinions amid May Day celebration worldwide

(VOVWORLD) -Dialogues have been held nationwide in May, the workers month, between employees and National Assembly deputies and local leaders on what the employees are most concerned about.

The dialogue topics range from creating jobs, maintaining decent jobs, and improving workers' incomes and living standards, to housing development solutions, and suggestions for draft laws related to the rights and interests of employees such as the Law on Social Insurance, the Law on Housing, the Law on Land, the Law on Real Estate Business, the Law on Trade Unions, and the Law on Employment.

Ngo Duy Hieu, vice president of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, said, “During this workers' month, we would like to invite the leaders of the National Assembly and deputies at the central and local level to meet and listen to the thoughts and aspirations of voters who are direct workers.”

At the dialogues, workers are also contributing ideas and solutions to promote socio-economic development.
