The meeting, the 6th edition, aimed to acknowledge, praise, and encourage orphans and people with disabilities who have made a strong effort to overcome all difficulties and barriers of circumstances to assert their own value and achieve success in work, production, and study.

Nguyen Trong Dam, Chairman of the Vietnam Association in Support of People with Disabilities and Orphans, said the humanist activity has aroused a spirit of self-reliance, the will to rise, and people’s love of life.

“This is a practical activity helping to replicate role models in patriotic emulation movements and in the campaign to learn and follow President Ho Chi Minh’s great moral example,” said Dam, adding, “It also helps mobilize social resources to gradually improve people’s lives, reduce poverty, and ensure social security towards realizing the goal of harmonious and equitable development, without leaving anyone behind.”

As part of the conference, a program called “One Heart – One World” took place to raise people’s awareness about the issues faced by people with disabilities and to mobilize further support.

At the event, nearly 800,000 USD was generated from organizations, individuals, and benefactors.
