National Geographical Indication logo revealed
(VOVWORLD) - The logo of Vietnam’s National Geographical Indication, featuring the mythical Lac bird on a yellow and red background, was unveiled at an event held on Friday by the Intellectual Property Office of Vietnam (IPO Vietnam) and the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO).
The logo will help importers and consumers identify products that represent Vietnam, said Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Hoang Giang at the event.
He noted that it will also help control the quantity of products delivered to the market while creating conditions for intellectual property enforcement agencies to detect infringements.
A project on designing a logo of Vietnam’s national geographical indication was proposed by IPO Vietnam and sponsored by the Korea Patent Promotion Association and KIPO.
