Naval zone delegations pay Tet visit to islands

(VOVworld) - A 5th naval zone delegation has paid Tet visit to Hon Doc island in Kien Giang province. Soldiers on duty received Tet gifts and greetings. Captain Vu Hong Tham takes charge of a radar station. He said: “It’s our great honor to welcome the delegation. It’s a source of encouragement for us to fulfil the tasks assigned by the Party and State. We have improved the living condition here so that soldiers could focus on their mission.”

The delegation visited Nam Du island on Friday. Deputy Chairman of An Son commune people’s committee, Nguyen Thai Viet: “We will hold art performance with border guards and soldiers. Needy households will receive Tet gifts.”

Phu Quy island’s Radar Station Nr 575 in Binh Thuan province receives a delegation from D naval force zone on Friday. Doan Tien Linh is deputy command of the station:“We have almost completed our preparation for Tet celebration. Making square sticky rice cakes and  springroll are the last preparations. Sport and art shows will be held for soldiers to celebrate the traditional  new year".
