Nearly 9,000 young people participate in Vietnam-China Youth Festival 2013

(VOVworld) – The 2nd Vietnam – China Youth Festival will be held in China’s Guang xi province from November 24th to 27th with nearly 9,000 Vietnamese and Chinese youth representatives participating.

Many activities within the festival will take place in China’s big cities including Beihai, Liuzhou, Guigang, Zongzuo and Nanning. Speaking at a press conference to introduce the festival, Nguyen Manh Dung, Secretary of Central Committee of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, said: "The first Vietnam-China Youth Festival was a great success. It promoted friendship between Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and its Chinese counterparts, thus helping foster friendship between the two Parties, States and peoples. This year’s festival aims to develop friendship, mutual trust and understanding between Vietnamese and Chinese young people and reinforce the partnership and comprehensive strategic cooperation between Vietnam and China". 

In the program, 3,000 representative Vietnamese young people will be divided into 7 groups walking through 7 cities and taking part in some major activities such as visiting historical relic sites attached to Vietnam’s revolution and President Ho Chi Minh, seminars on industrial development, cultural and art exchanges with local youth people. They will also join in the Vietnam-China youth friendship tree planting program and Vietnam-China Youth Congress.
