New cases of COVID-19 drop sharply in Vietnam on Friday

(VOVWORLD) - The Ministry of Health on Friday said that the number of new COVID-19 cases dropped sharply to 108,979 in the past 24 hours from 120,000 cases of the previous day.

On Friday, 175,540 COVID-19 patients recovered, but 51 others died.

47 out of 63 provinces and cities have achieved more than 95% of second dose vaccination rate for people aged 18 or older. The remaining 16 provinces and cities has reached the second dose vaccination rate between 90% and 95%.

57 out of 63 provinces and cities have administered second dose vaccines against COVID-19 for 90% of children aged 12-17. The remaining six localities’ vaccination rate is below 90% of children aged 12-17.
