(VOVWORLD) - The weather during the New Lunar Year holiday is favorable for people to go for sightseeing and visit pagodas to pray for a peaceful year ahead.

Cua Ong-Cap Tien Temple, Temple of General Tran Quoc Nghien, and Yen Tu relic site in Quang Ninh province have attracted a large number of pilgrims.

Visitor Dong Quang Khanh said: "We prepare trays of fruit and flowers to offer at temples and pagodas to pray for good luck. We also take a chance for sightseeing."

Le Thi Hong, a resident in Ha Long city, said: “At the beginning of the year, everyone wishes for good health, peace, and happiness, peace for the nation and fulfillment of tasks.”

Tens of thousands of people have visited Con Son-Kiep Bac National Historical Site since the beginning of the lunar year.

Nguyen Van Cuong, Vice Director of the Relic Site’s Management Board, said: “We have upgraded the parking area to ensure security and order, cleaned the environmental, and refurbished shops to ensure good service for visitors.”
