New Zealand presents aid of 116,000 USD to Vietnam’s central region

(VOVWORLD) - The New Zealand Embassy has announced humanitarian aid totalling 116,000 USD for communities in Central Vietnam affected by severe flooding and landslides since early October.

These funds include 102,000 USD for UNICEF relief efforts and 14,000 USD for World Vision Vietnam

New Zealand Ambassador to Viet Nam Wendy Matthews said that this assistance seeks to help families meet basic needs and to help them begin rebuilding their livelihoods. It is an example of New Zealand’s ongoing commitment to supporting the people of Vietnam, she said.
