Nguyen Van Quang elected Chief Justice of Supreme People’s Court
(VOVWORLD) - By a vote of 440 to 1, the 15th National Assembly on Monday adopted a resolution to elect Party Central Committee member Nguyen Van Quang Chief Justice of the Supreme People’s Court for the 2021-2026 tenure.

After taking the oath of office pledging absolute loyalty to the Fatherland, Mr. Quang delivered a speech emphasizing the key tasks of the court sector in the coming period.
"With strong determination, decisive action, and constant innovation in carrying out the Party’s guidelines on judicial reform, we can build a law-governed socialist state, and perfect the legal system – all aimed at driving national development in the new era – and streamlining the court system to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and consistency with the three-tier court model," said Mr. Quang.
Mr. Nguyen Van Quang, born in 1969, previously served as Deputy Prosecutor General of the Supreme People’s Procuracy, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Da Nang city for the 2015–2020 tenure, Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee for the 2020–2025 tenure, and Standing Deputy Inspector General of the Government Inspectorate.
