No domestic cases of COVID-19 reported in Vietnam for 4 straight days

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam has been free from community infections of COVID-19 for 4 consecutive days, according to the Health Ministry. 

As of Monday morning, the national infection count stood at 2,572.

10 localities have gone at least 36 days with no local transmissions of coronavirus, including Gia Lai, Bac Ninh, Quang Ninh and HCM City. Hanoi has gone 33 days, and Hai Duong, the worst hotspot during the latest wave of COVID-19, 3 days.

With the pandemic easing, Quang Ninh province has lifted all COVID-19 checkpoints and re-opened all businesses. As of Sunday, nearly 34,000 people in Vietnam had been vaccinated against COVID-19.
