No new COVID-19 community infection case in Vietnam in 4 weeks

(VOVWORLD) -Vietnam reported no fresh cases of the novel coronavirus in the community, with the overall number of active cases staying at 288, the Ministry of Health said on Thursday morning.

So far, Vietnam recorded a total of 252 recoveries while the remaining patients are receiving treatment at health facilities across the country. There has been no deaths from the novel coronavirus.

The Ho Chi Minh City Hospital for Tropical Diseases said the British COVID-19 patient’s lungs are suffering from fibrosis and solidification, with only 10% being functional and he is now totally dependent on ECMO.

Another severely ill case was the 287th patient who is a 50-year-old woman returning from United Arab Emirates (UAE). She is said to show growing lung damage. However, the patient recovered from a fever with her blood pressure remaining stable.
