(VOVworld) – No one is allowed to use the crash of Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 for political purposes, said Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday.

Putin also mentioned the issue during his telephone conversations with British Prime Minister David Cameron and Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbot. The same day, Putin and his French counterpart Francois Hollande had talks on the telephone, underlining the importance of pushing ahead with a thorough and objective investigation by the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO).
Both sides also discussed Russia’s initiative which would deploy observers from the organization of Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) to the Russia-Ukraine border. Putin held separate telephone conversations with state officials of Germany and Netherlands discussing the flight tragedy.
