(VOVworld) - The massive snowstorm called “Snowzilla” has slammed into northeast states of the US, dumping up to 90cm of snow on a large area, making it one of 5 most devastating blizzards in the American history.
Thousands of flights were cancels as airports in New York, Philadelphia, Washington, and Baltimore were covered by snow.
Electric cut has affected the lives of 200,000 people and there have been hundreds of accidents caused by snowfall.
New York State Governor imposed a ban on all local and state roads across the city. Metro and bus networks were shut down.
Museums were closed and all Broadway shows were cancelled. Washington authorities asked locals to stay at home and mobilized more snow-removal crews.
