The businesspeople wished the leaders to facilitate bilateral trade by removing obstacles to reach the target of 4 billion USD trade turnover by 2020.

Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue told Turkish businesses of Vietnam’s potential and opportunities. “Vietnam will continue to improve its business environment to facilitate trade, and protect the legitimate rights of Vietnamese and foreign businesses. We encourage foreign businesses to invest in high-tech and environmentally friendly sectors. Large and small businesses should enhance international cooperation to join regional and global supply chains.”

Mr. Hue said Turkish businesses investing in Vietnam will have opportunities to access the ASEAN market of 650 million people and a GDP of 2,500 billion USD. Turkish Prime Minister Yildirim said his visit has helped elevate  bilateral relations to a higher level. “We cannot promote trade and economic relations only at governmental level but also among the business communities. It’s necessary to support businesses and remove barriers to pave a smooth way for them.”

Mr. Yildirim said when Vietnam and Turkey sign the Free Trade Agreement, their businesses will enjoy favorable conditions. He affirmed that Vietnamese businesses will be supported in order to send profits back home more easily.
