(VOVworld) – Crude oil prices rallied to a 9-month high on Thursday due to rising concern over turmoil in Iraq.

In London Brent oil surged 3.07 USD to 113.02 USD/ barrel. The US benchmark jumped 2.13 USD to 106.53 USD/barrel. In addition to tensions in Iraq, an agreement by the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) to hold its oil production limit unchanged at 30 million barrels per day is another factor pushing up oil prices.
