(VOVWORLD) - The Culture and Tourism Week associated with the Ok-Om-Bok Festival opened on Saturday in several southern localities which are home to the Khmer people.
Tra Vinh province held the Southern Vietnamese Culinary Space, the Tourism and Development exhibition, a trade promotion fair featuring rural industrial and OCOP products, and a Khmer amateur dance festival.
Additionally, there are craft demonstrations, displays of traditional Khmer costumes, water puppetry, boat racing, and folk games.
The Ok-Om-Bok Festival - Ngo Boat Race and a Culture, Sports, and Tourism Week took place in Soc Trang Province.
Ok-Om-Bok is one of the three major annual festivals for the southern Khmer community, alongside Chol Chnam Thmay (the New Year celebration) and Sene Don Ta ceremony to honor and pay respect to their ancestors.
