(VOVworld) - Opinion collection for the 1992 Constitution revisions  is receiving special attention from people in all walks of life. On Thursday, at a meeting to gather opinions in Vinh Long province, delegates agreed on the need to clarify certain issues in the 1992 Constitution regarding the nature of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. They proposed that the Constitution affirm the country’s inviolable sovereignty over land, airspace, territorial waters, and islands including Truong Sa and Hoang Sa Islands.

In Thua Thien-Hue, a symposium was held in which participants praised the content of the revisions. Delegates said any investment in education is an investment in growth. Suggestions were made concerning Article 9 regulating the supervisory role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

Delegates said that gathering public opinions on the revisions affirms the autonomy of the people and the strength of national solidarity.
