Organizations, localities deliver gifts to the disadvantaged ahead of Tet

(VOVWORLD) - President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Tran Thanh Man gave Tet gifts to 250 policy beneficiaries and poor households in three border communes of Lang Son province.

The Vietnamese Association of Agent Orange Victims and local authorities presented gifts to Agent Orange/ Dioxin victims in 13 provinces and cities.

In Quang Nam province, 130,000 social beneficiaries have received Tet gifts. Some poor families have moved to new homes built by local People’s Committee and the Ministry of Defense.

Pham Thi Hoa in Duy Trung commune, Duy Xuyen district, was given 4,300 USD to build a new house: “We had received the state’s support to build a new, concrete house. I’ll welcome the New Year in my new house. I have nothing to worry about now. I’m very happy.”

The Department of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs of Da Nang city will give 1.2 million USD to support 43,000 social beneficiaries, war invalids, heroic mothers, and national contributors during Tet.
