(VOVworld) - Sixty posters featuring Vietnam’s sea and island sovereignty by painters nationwide are on display at an exhibition, which opened in Ho Chi Minh City on Friday.
Entitled ‘resolutely defending Vietnam’s border, sea, and islands, the exhibition includes works selected from a national-level campaign to create placards affirming the country’s sovereignty over its sea and islands.
The exhibition also showcases 11 historical maps drawn up by Vietnam and Western nations and a collection of administrative records from the Nguyen dynasty (1802-1945). These are evidence proving Vietnam’s sovereignty over the Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelagoes, which were found and protected by the Vietnamese people through various eras.
