President Truong Tan Sang presents scientific prizes

(VOVworld)-32 scientific projects have been awarded the Ho Chi Minh and State prizes. The projects cover various fields including social sciences and humanities, natural sciences, science and technology, agriculture and medicine. State President Truong Tan Sang addressed the awards ceremony in Hanoi on Saturday: “Science and technology always play a crucial role in national construction and defense. During wartime, a strong contingent of brilliant scientists contributed significantly to our victory over powerful enemies. In the current industrialization and modernization process, the Party and State define high-quality human resources and science and technology as one of 3 breakthroughs for national development.”

The country's highest distinctions for scientific research and application are handed out every 5 years.
