(VOVworld)-10 oustanding Vietnamese youths who excelled in their studies and work in 2016 were honored at a ceremony in Hanoi on Sunday. Head of the Party Central Commitee’s Comission on Mass Mobilization Truong Thi Mai praised the honorees, saying each of them represents a convincing story of patience, creativity, the courage to surmount challenges, and a burning desire to advance and contribute to the nation. She emphasized that the Party and State have offered incentives and allocated resources to nurture, attract, and honor young talents.

“Relevant agencies and organizations should work out effective measures and propose policies to provide optimal support for gifted young people. We need to help them make full use of their potential and promote them as role models to the wider public,” Ms. Mai noted.

220 people have been honored with the “Outstanding young people” award over the past 21 years.
