(VOVWORLD) - More than 30 million USD has been contributed and pledged through the Central Relief Committee to help residents affected by typhoon Bualoi, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee reported on Monday.

Do Van Chien, President of VFF expressed his hope that in the coming time, the Committee will continue to receive contributions from government agencies, enterprises, organizations, and individuals at home and abroad, and foreigners living and working in Vietnam, to mobilize more resources to help affected people rebuild their lives after enduring consecutive storms and floods in recent months.
Statistics show that typhoon Bualoi in September, along with floods, landslides, and whirlwinds, left 56 people dead, 11 missing, and 172 injured; nearly 200,000 houses collapsed, were destroyed, or damaged; and hundreds of thousands of cattle and poultry were killed or swept away.
