(VOVworld) – At least 52 people were killed and several went missing following a landslide in northern Afghanistan's Badakhshan province on Tuesday.

However, the rescue teams are facing difficulties as this area is being buried under snow, and only helicopter can approach. Badakhshan province is one the poorest provinces of Afghanistan where landsides often occur during spring when snow starts to melt.
