Luu Thanh Dung, former Secretary General of the Overseas Vietnamese’s Association in France, said the expat community strongly believe that Vietnam’s independence, self-reliance, peace, and territorial integrity are always safeguarded under the Party leadership.

Nguyen Thi Minh Hanh, senior lecturer at Saint Petersburg State University in Russia, said she always follows closely Vietnam’s social and political scene. She said she is really proud of what Vietnam has achieved in the difficult year 2020, including economic and social stability, 2.91% growth, successful COVID-19 containment, and an initial trial of COVID-19 vaccines. Vietnam, led by its Party, has elevated its national prestige since the “Doi Moi” (Renewal) period began and secured an increasingly important role in the world arena, according to Hanh.

Nguyen Quoc Phuong, Vice Chairman of the Vietnamese Buddhist Committee in Poland, shared his belief in the election of moral, talented Party and State leaders to guide Vietnam on a rapid, robust, and sustainable development. Phuong said he hopes for more favorable policies for overseas Vietnamese to contribute to Vietnam’s development.
