Ambassador Dang Dinh Quy, head of the mission, briefed participants on what Vietnam achieved in 2018. Mr. Quy said Vietnam intends to boost ties with foreign countries in 2019 while stepping up multilateral diplomacy and relations with the UN. He added that Vietnam will work hard to win a non-permanent seat on the UN Security Council for the 2020-2021 tenure.

In a similar event in the Netherlands, Vietnamese Ambassador Ngo Thi Hoa said she hopes overseas Vietnamese will demonstrate their patriotism by serving as a bridge between Vietnam and the Netherlands.
