OVs in the UK keep traditional culture alive

(VOVWORLD) - A ceremony took place in London on Saturday (the 28th day of the last lunar month of the Year of the Ox) to welcome the lunar new year of the Tiger with the participation of more than 10,000 overseas Vietnamese living across the UK.

The event included diverse activities such as dragon dance, performance of martial arts, fashion show of Vietnam’s traditional long dress, contest of sticky rice cake wrapping, as well as and traditional games like tug of war and chess.

Many unique Vietnamese products are put on sale at the event, including dried fruits and jam, peanut candy, different kinds of rice vermicelli, and ST25 rice, which has been imported to the UK for the very first time.
