(VOVWORLD) - The Palestinian Authority on Saturday called on the UN Security Council to immediately intervene to halt Israeli airstrikes targeting the Gaza Strip.
In a press release, the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned in the strongest terms the Israeli escalated aggression against Palestinians on the Gaza Strip. The ministry said that the Israeli move reveals the reality of the racist aggression against the Palestinian people in the occupied Palestinian territories.
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas earlier suggested abandoning the US peace plan so-called “deal of the century”, saying the deal does not include the two-state solution that suits Palestine’s wish.
