Palestinian, Israeli officials hold 1st meeting after 6 months

(VOVWORLD) - Palestinian Authority (PA) and Israeli officials held their first meeting on Thursday after the PA said on Tuesday it would resume its relationship with Israel after a six-month boycott over a plan to annex parts of the West Bank.

Hussein al-Sheikh, Palestinian minister of civil affairs, met in Ramallah with Kamil Abu Rukun, coordinator of the Israeli government's activities in the Palestinian territories. In a press release, Hussein al-Sheikh said both sides agreed to transfer all the taxes that Palestine refused 6 months ago to PA’s budget.

He also said that Palestinie rejects the Israeli policies of settlement, home demolition, and land confiscation in Palestinian territories.
