Palestinian President reshuffles national unity government

(VOVworld) - Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas reshuffled the Palestinian unity government on Monday by appointing three new ministers. New ministers of justice, culture and social welfare were sworn in before President Abbas at the Ramallah headquarters of the Palestinian National Authority.

The last change to the unity government occurred in late August, when 5 new ministers were appointed. When the unity government was formed last June, Palestinians hoped it would terminate the endless discord between Hamas and Abbas's Fatah Party, but complex divisions have continued and led to internal disputes.
